“If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales.”
― Albert Einstein
The most infamous of the LD's. Long before we spent our days self-diagnosing ourselves with OCD, Asperger's and Autism, we would inaproprately label ourselves and our students as dyslexic. I cannot count how many times a kindergarten parent has questioned whether their child was dyslexic after seeing a b/d reversal in the child's writing. Relax, reversals are usually considered normal in the the child's first year of school. Dyslexia is more serious than reversing our b/d's or p/q's. It can affect many areas of learning and cause a great deal of anguish for a student. There are multiple resources out there that can help.
